Cat Power for TIME, 2011 - This is by far, my favorite image of Chan.  This year has been a really good year for photographing people that I have an immense respect for.  I grew up listening to her music, and the You Are Free album definitely got me through a lot of rough days during college.  There has been very few people I’ve photographed that have shown me the sincerity, kindness and interest in me as a person, like Chan did.  AND her new album is incredible.  I am just really grateful to have collaborative experiences with such varied and talented people.
